“We are thankful that as a result of today’s Supreme Court decision, mifepristone remains available for abortion care and miscarriage management nationwide. The Supreme Court correctly and unanimously found that this case should never have moved forward in the first place—because the challengers were not harmed by the FDA’s actions and therefore had no right to sue.

But make no mistake. Extremists will stop at nothing to attack reproductive care, and those efforts have far-reaching implications beyond reproductive healthcare. During my recent visit to Texas, I heard from patients and providers about the horrific health risks they must deal with on a daily basis as a result of sustained attacks on reproductive health care. Together with Governor Phil Murphy, we will continue to fight to protect reproductive rights to ensure that we never see the same nightmare here in New Jersey.”
