NEWARK – The Board of Applied Behavior Analyst Examiners has proposed new rules which will allow for the licensure and regulation of applied behavior analysts and assistant applied behavior analysts.

P.L. 2019, c. 337, created the Board of Applied Behavior Analyst Examiners, required applied behavior analysts and assistant applied behavior analysts to become licensed, and authorized the Board to regulate the practice of applied behavior analysts and assistant applied behavior analysts. Under the proposed new rules, applicants who complete education and examination requirements will be eligible to obtain licensure.
