State Board of Medical Examiners Revokes License of Physician Sentenced to Federal Prison for Conspiring to Conceal and Harbor Undocumented Women from India as Household Servants

Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the Division of Consumer Affairs announced that the State Board of Medical Examiners has permanently revoked the medical license of a Central Jersey physician facing 27 months in federal prison for conspiring with others to illegally recruit, conceal, and harbor two women from India to be household servants for low pay.

Platkin and the Division of Consumer Affairs announced that the New Jersey Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy (“Board”) has permanently revoked the license of an Essex County massage therapist amid allegations he engaged in inappropriate and unwanted sexual contact with a female client during a massage session.
