The Attorney General’s Office today identified the decedent and the officers involved in a fatal police-involved shooting, in which an officer was injured, on March 8, 2024 in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The decedent has been identified as Vincent Correa, 44, of Hamilton.
N.J. Police Licensure Act Takes Effect
A new state law went into effect this month requiring New Jersey’s approximately 40,500 police officers to hold valid, active licenses issued by the Police Training Commission (PTC) in order to serve as law enforcement officers.
