Claudia Joy Demitro is Senior Counsel to the Attorney General. Demitro previously served as Executive Deputy Director of the Division of Criminal Justice. She had been with the Division since 2014 and served in the Appellate Bureau before joining the Director’s Executive Staff in 2018. There, she led various criminal justice directives, projects, and initiatives. Previously, she clerked for the Honorable Stephanie M. Wauters of the New Jersey Superior Court in Ocean County, and then for the Honorable Michael A. Guadagno of the Appellate Division. Demitro graduated magna cum laude from both The College of New Jersey and Drexel University School of Law, and was an editor of the Drexel Law Review.
