Erin Zippel is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Department of Law & Public Safety, overseeing a diverse range functions including Budget, Fiscal, Human Resources, Grants, General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance, Constituent Services, Information Technology and Facilities.
With over two decades of dedicated service to the State of New Jersey, Erin began her career at the Department of Community Affairs where she spent 10 years in various roles before specializing as a budget/fiscal analyst in the Financial Management Office. She joined LPS in 2012, initially as a senior budget analyst in the Budget and Grants Operations Unit. She later took on roles of increasing responsibility at the Office of Information Technology, including Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In 2018, she transitioned to the Department of Children and Families as the Budget Director.
In 2021, she returned to LPS as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer where she has been instrumental in enhancing departmental efficiency, streamlining processes and boosting productivity.
She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology from The College of New Jersey and Business Administration/Accounting from Thomas Edison University, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University.
