NEWARK – The Board of Medical Examiners has proposed a new rule addressing the procedures that a physician may permit a licensed radiologist assistant to perform.

P.L. 2017, c. 281 allows for the licensure of radiologist assistants by the Department of Environmental Protection. The law permits licensed radiologist assistants to perform delegated procedures under the supervision of licensed physicians. The proposal sets forth the procedures that a licensed radiologist may direct a radiologist assistant to perform.
