Identifying Government Clients for Purposes of Conflicts of Interest
Please note that Attorney General Gurbir Grewal has supplemented the August 2, 1984 letter opinion of former Attorney General Irwin I. Kimmelman (“Kimmelman Letter”), which pertains to the conflicts of interest analysis for outside counsel. Attorney General Grewal’s letter opinion of May 15, 2019 updates the Kimmelman Letter based on subsequent case law and practice. Attorney General Grewal’s letter can be found here. All appropriate outside counsel forms and exhibits will be updated with this May 15, 2019 opinion in the days to come.
