Marihug Cedeño Peña is Senior Counsel to the Attorney General. Before joining the Office of the Attorney General, Marihug served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Fraud Section in Washington D.C. where she prosecuted violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other financial crimes. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey. Before joining DOJ, Marihug was a senior litigation associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York specializing in commercial litigation. Marihug clerked for Judge George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She received her B.Sc. from Cornell University, and her J.D. from Cornell Law School.
